Reports to: Manager – Administration

About the role

To coordinate the laundry services at the Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise general flow of activities in laundry.
  • Plan laundry activities in line with hospital objectives.
  • Take part in the procurement of laundry consumables.
  • Ensure laundry consumables are available all the time.
  • Ensures enough linen is always available ready to be used.
  • Guides and trains laundry staff on better laundry practices.
  • Maintains laundry registers (Dispatch, Machine maintenance and Consumables records).
  • Ensures proper discipline among laundry staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of humanities.
  • Certificate in laundry practice or infection control practice
  • Experience in a hospital setting will be added advantage
